	Brave New World Author: Aldous Huxley ISBN: 0060929871	You'll finish it and want to start over again from the beginning. Great Book! Once again, we encounter the noble savage. This book, to me at least, seems to pick up where 1984 leaves off. This could be Winston's world a few years later.

	Catch-22 Author: Joseph Heller ISBN: 0684833395	Another great book. Ah -- the old Catch-22. Good Stuff. This book is where the term originated as a military rule which is both circular and nonsensical.

	Cat's Cradle Author: Kurt Vonnegut ISBN: 0440111498	Anything by Vonnegut is spectacular, but this is definitely oneof my favorites.

	Choke Author: Chuck Palahniuk ISBN: 0385720920	Another great one by Chuck. Just as twisted and unpredictable (and FUNNY) as the others on this list.

	Conversations With God: An Uncommon Dialogue Author: Neale Donald Walsch ISBN: 0399142789	Every single Human Being on Earth should read this book. Seriously.

	Dracula Author: Bram Stoker ISBN: 0451523377	A great classic. Take your time and savor it. Good stuff.

	Fahrenheit 451 Author: Ray Bradbury ISBN: 0743247221	This, along with 1984 and Brave New World is another MUST READ.Excellent book. Near and dear to my heart; it's about destroying literature! (OUTRAGE!)

	Fight Club Author: Chuck Palahniuk ISBN: 0393327345	The first rule about fight club is you don't talk about fight club. The second rule about fight club is you don't talk about fight club.

	Frankenstein Author: Mary Shelley ISBN: 0743487583	Ah, Frankenstein - nothing like the movies. Another one to be savored.

	Good Grief Author: Lolly Winston ISBN: 0446694843	This book is so honest. It's sad, funny and real. Sometimes it made me want to cry, other times I laughed out loud. It's both desperate and hopeful. Really good read.

	Hamlet Author: William Shakespeare ISBN: 074347712X	This is the play that got me hooked on Shakespeare. "O that thistoo too sullied flesh would melt, thaw, and resolve itself into a dew" - Thank You Dr. Crowley!

	Haunted Author: Chuck Palahniuk ISBN: 1400032822	This is not just a collection of short stories, but instead a novel weaved together with sories told by each character. If you can get through the first story, which is disgustingly horrific, the rest of the book is clear sailing and wonderfully "Chuckish"

	Invisible Monsters Author: Chuck Palahniuk ISBN: 0393319296	This book is awesome. It is SO twisted and dark that I just laughed out loud all the time. (The parents killed me.) The whole book is one absurd surprise after another and well worth the read.

	Job: A Comedy of Justice Author: Robert A. Heinlein ISBN: 0345316509	A book about a love that will never die - well, the sci-fi version. Heinlein is great, but this is my favorite.

	Life of Pi Author: Yann Martel ISBN: 0156027321	I can't praise this book enough. It's about believing in the unbelievable. What a GREAT read.

	Love Author: Toni Morrison	Big fan of Toni Morrison. This is one of my favorites because itis just so twisted. Well, Sula is pretty twisted too ... that's another good one.

	Lovely Bones Author: Alice Sebold ISBN: 0316666343	This is a good read. The girl tells the story from heaven. The perspective is just really cool. Good Book.

	Reading Lolita in Tehran Author: Azar Nafisi ISBN: 081297106X	This book is amazing. It's definitely a book for readers. She weaves us through her past using the literature she was reading and teaching at the time. I could do a term paper on this book. A must read for lit buffs and history buffs alike.

	Richard III Author: William Shakespeare ISBN: 0743482840	THIS is my favorite Shakespeare. Richard is just so feindish."Now is the winter of our discontent" ... yeah - it's THAT one.

	Running With Scissors Author: Augusten Burroughs ISBN: 031242227X	You think YOU had a rough childhood? Quit your whining and readabout THIS guy. This memoir is both disturbing and wicked funny.

	Survivor Author: Chuck Palahniuk ISBN: 0385498721	Palahniuk is the new Vonnegut. This one is amazing and twisted- just like the others - and just as riveting. Maybe ALL of his books will be on this list sooner or later.

	The Awakening Author: Kate Chopin ISBN: 0380002450	Oh Edna, you poor, poor soul. You go girl! I love, love, love this book. Read it! And don't come back to me saying she was too selfish! Selfish was the point.

	The Fountainhead Author: Ayn Rand ISBN: 0451191153	This is a long one. Have some patience with it. I guarantee you'll find some damn good stuff in it.

	The Idiot Girl's Action Adventure Club Author: Laurie Notaro ISBN: 0375760911	This chick is SO funny. All of her books are absolutely hysterical. I laughed so hard I literally couldn't read them in public. She also Wrote I love Everybody (and other atrocious lies), Autobiography of a Fat Bride,and We Thought You'd be Prettier.

	The Kite Runner Author: Khaled Hosseini ISBN: 1573222453	Ug. Wow. I didn't so much READ this book as CONSUME it. Amazingand wonderful read.

	The Time Traveler's Wife Author: Audrey Niffenegger ISBN: 1596921536	Oh. I laughed, I cried ... it was much better than Cats. It's written kind of screwey and it takes a little while to get used to it - like flipping back to look at dates a lot and stuff, but it is SUCH a good book. It's all worth it.

	The Unbearable Lightness of Being Author: Milan Kundera ISBN: 0060932139	A bit on the deep side, but riveting reading. The Farwell Partyby Kundera is good too.

	The Virgin Suicides Author: Jeffrey Eugenides ISBN: 0446670251	Way better than Middlesex! You are so fascinated by the characters that you cannot put this one down.

	The World According to Garp Author: John Irving ISBN: 034536676X	I'm hip to Jenny's ideas. I think I'll opt for the baby sans thedaddy. That sounds better and better to me everyday. Now I just need to find a hot guy in a coma.

	Water for Elephants: A Novel Author: Sara Gruen ISBN: 1565124995	I loved this book. An ninety-something-year old man reflects on his life in the circus. Great read. Very fast paced. I read it in a day.

	White Teeth Author: Zadie Smith ISBN: 0375703861	Very well written and hysterically funny. I laughed out loud. Good book. She pretty much covers everything; black, white, Muslim, English, gay, straight, twins ... you name it, it's in there.

	Wicked Author: Gregory Maguire ISBN: 0060391448	This was so much better than I expected. Very well written. I think it's one that needs to be read more than once. It's very dense. Mirror Mirror and Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister are also great!
